Perched at a height of 400 on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique’s best-known architectural creations. An endless number of artistic and architectural details demonstrate his enthusiasm for the integration of art and nature.
Although from the exterior the building is almost imperceptible, the interior surprises with its careful details, its impressive glass windows, the eyes of the Mirador, conceived by the artist in such a way that they augment the effect of the panoramic view, and the original, monumental sculptures that hang from the roof in defiance of the laws of gravity.
